Enhance Small Business with Quickbooks

When speaking of financial business management software, Intuit is considered a leading brand in the market. QuickBooks is an accounting program suitable for small businesses as well as home based businesses. It's straightforward program and user-friendly screen makes it ideal software for entrepreneurs who are not adept with business accounting.

Signing up is easy. Upon launching the QuickBooks application, you configure the settings and select the modules that are most suitable for your business. Additionally, there are so many options for using quickbooks. You can subscribe to Quickbooks online or purchase the software and load it to your desktop. We will discuss these options further in upcoming articles. Let's take a closer look at what you will see when you open your Quickbooks account.

The QuickBooks Online Plus application is divided into five basic sections: Company, Customer, Vendor, Employees, Banking, and Reports. Each section contains functions and features to manage a particular aspect of the business. For example, you can store information about your business from the “Company” section.

The Customer section is where a business can oversee financial status such as sales, customer invoices, receipts, customer refunds, and other related matters. For entrepreneurs who accept credit card payments, they can manage processed credit card payments directly from the Quickbooks Customer section. For businesses who want to start processing credit card payments, they can first apply for a merchant account from Intuit Merchant Account Service. Once registered, they can access the credit card processing functions from the Customer section of the software.

In the Vendor category, a business owner can keep track of business-to-business transactions such as activities involving suppliers and vendors. From this section, you can keep track of your payment due dates, supplier invoices, status of orders, and more. Automatic payment is also an option. All you need to do is simply link your bank account to the software.

The Employees category is indispensible for business owners who have employees. From this section, a business owner can store employee information, time sheets, and payroll. This program can be used alongside Intuit Online Payroll for convenient payroll management.

The Banking category can be combined with QuickBooks Online Banking Center to monitor your banking activities (for participating banks) from the internet. Last but not least, you can manage your business financial reports and accounting documents using functions from the Reports section of the software.

If you are a small business entrepreneur trying to look for the perfect solution to your accounting challenges, you can try QuickBooks Online for 30 days so you can use the features and tools for free.
